The Diablo 4 max level will take you many hours to reach as you've got to get to Level 50 to unlock the endgame Paragon Board that takes you to Level 100. Completing the story and a healthy amount of side quests and other activities should get you most of the way to Level 50 in Diablo 4, and this represents a pretty good stopping point if the endgame isn't for you. However, powering through the endgame grind to get to Level 100 will be a significant and long challenge if you're up for it, although there are certainly some ways that you can level up fast in Diablo 4. Here's what you need to know about reaching the Diablo 4 maximum level cap.
What is the max level in Diablo 4?
The maximum level in Diablo 4 is Level 100, although the whole levelling system is sort of split in two. From Levels 1-50, you need to get XP to level up and will be rewarded with one Skill Point per level. Spend these on unlocking Skills to create the best Diablo 4 builds and enhance your demon slaying - I'll go into a little more detail on Skill Points below.

However, once you hit level 50, the leveling rewards change entirely. For Level 50-100, you no longer earn Skill Points and instead move to the Diablo 4 Paragon Board. Now you need to earn far more XP to level up but you'll get four Paragon Points along each level for a total of 200 (you can get an extra 20 points from Renown tier rewards too). Reaching the Diablo 4 level cap of 100 is therefore the endgame grind and using Paragon Points allows you to further enhance your build with creative and destructive upgrade nodes. You'll also need to complete more challenging Nightmare Dungeons unlocked by the higher Diablo 4 World Tiers.
While the Diablo 4 level cap is currently 100, this may change in the future; Diablo 3 launched with a level cap of 60 and ultimately saw its max level rise to 70 with the Reaper of Souls expansion. Given that Blizzard is pushing for a live service structure with Diablo 4, there's a good chance that the cap will one day rise via one of the Seasons in the new Diablo 4 Battle Pass.
How many Skill Points can you earn in Diablo 4?
You can earn a maximum of 58 Skill Points in Diablo 4. You'll earn 48 Skill Points as you climb from Level 1 to 50, but you can earn 10 additional Skill Points by increasing your Renown to tier 1 and tier 3 in each of the five regions. Make sure that you're hunting for the Diablo 4 Altars of Lilith statues, discovering new locations, and completing Dungeons and Strongholds. Additionally, these bonus Skill Points are available to all characters on your account, which will make it a little easier to level another character once you've taken one to the max level in Diablo 4.
