Causes of a Corrupted PS4 Database

If you see the error code accompanied by CE-34875-7 or NP-32062-3, there's a problem with the game or app software. This error is usually seen during a failed installation. In such cases, delete the corrupted download and try installing the software again.

You can also encounter the error while playing, usually after the graphics and sound start to sputter. To fix this, reinstall the game and/or restore your account licenses.

If you get the message while booting your console and it starts in safe mode, you might have a hard drive problem. Your options include rebuilding the database and reinstalling the PS4 operating system.

How to Fix Corrupted Data on PS4

The best solution will depend on when you see the error. Here are your options from easiest to most difficult.

1. Delete the game and reinstall it. If you're having problems with a particular title, the software is likely corrupted, so you should remove it. You won't lose any of your saved data, and you can reinstall the game from the disc, your Library, or the PlayStation Store.

   2. Press Options on the controller.
   3. Then select Downloads.
   4. Highlight the corrupted file (it will be grayed out),

3. Clean the game disc. If you're installing a game from a disc, delete the corrupted data, then remove the disc and gently wipe the underside with a microfiber cloth. Then, try installing it again.

8. Hard reset your PS4. If your console still doesn't boot up normally, you can try reinstalling the OS. You'll lose everything on your hard drive, so try to recover your data first. Fortunately, you can re-download the software you purchased through your PSN account.

9. Get your PS4 fixed or replaced by Sony. If your PS4 is still under warranty, go to Sony's PlayStation Hardware and Repairs page and select your console to see if it qualifies for a free repair or replacement.

10. Replace the PS4 hard drive. If your warranty is no longer valid and resetting the OS doesn't work, you can replace the HDD with another PS4-compatible hard drive.
