How to break speed blocks in Dairon? ›

The blocks are on the right side of the room, so run to the left to start. Run from left to right, charging your Speed Booster. Keep running until you break through the back wall and destroy the block hiding the upgrade. Compared to the others, this Speed Booster puzzle makes for a relaxing change!

Speed Boost Shinespark

You'll keep your Speed Booster going until you jump or change directions. You can, however, wall jump to change directions and maintain the Speed Booster. At that point, move the left thumbstick down as if you were crouching. Samus will glow purple.

You need to descend until you find the lava room in which there was an Energy Part — it's on the left of the chamber with the elevator to Artaria. On the right side of that area, you need to shoot the floor or put a Bomb.

From the Power Bomb Tank location (northern Dairon), go to the left. You will see the tank in the next room, on the lower floors. First, you need to destroy the first block with a Bomb. Then quickly throw four missiles while standing on the platform on the left.

Press B and Y simultaneously to activate mid-air shinespark. Then press right on the stick. The stick must have no input when you press B + Y or it won't work.

Press the B button to activate Shinespark without touching the ground. Not only can you use Shinespark to destroy Speed Booster blocks, but it also deals significant damage to enemies, so don't forget about using the move during a battle!

As in, you hold the d-pad either left or right as you jump, which makes you spin jump. When you are spin jumping, you dont activate a shinespark. If you simply press the jump button, Samus will do a small hop, and then automatically activates a Shinspark.

In fact, the main hook of Dread is exploring Planet ZDR in search of these hidden abilities and powers. While many of these abilities are rewarded to you through natural progression, others aren't so easy to find.

Restore the Power

Move through the unpowered Map Station and into a large room you'll fall down the left side, before using the magnet rails above a pool of water to make your way back up the right side and into the Generator Room.

Dairon Power Bomb Tank 1

This upgrade is located in the top-middle of the Dairon E.M.M.I. area, just below and to the left of the Ferenia elevator. The upgrade will be visible in a small, blocked off tunnel. Use Pulse Radar to locate some hidden breakable blocks on each end of the tunnel.

How do you get ice missiles? ›

They are acquired by destroying E.M.M.I. -05IM in Ghavoran. Ice Missiles deal ~33% more damage than Super Missiles. In addition to their typical use on enemies, they are required to destroy the fiery Enky.

In order to grab the Super Missile head to the location indicated in the map below once you reach the sixth area of the game, Ghavoran. Once there, this is a very simple statue pickup indeed and you can now set about blasting the covers off all the green shielded doors you haven't been able to get through thus far!

Reach the Central Unit. Head through the watery room to the right of the shuttle and carefully shoot away all the centipedes moving along the water before rolling through and counter attacking the floating creature at the end of the tunnel.

Speed Booster Block

Orange blocks with a Speed Booster arrow symbol. While Speed Booster is active, run through this block or use a Shinespark to destroy it.

The Yellow Teleportal allows you to move between Artaria and Dairon. You can access this teleportal by Speed Boosting into the ceiling blocks near the train from Cataris.

Bomb Blocks - As the name suggests, both types of Bombs can break these blocks. Power Bomb Block - The one and only way to get rid of these is to use a Power Bomb. Missile Blocks - Yep. Break them with Missiles.

When you reach the sealed door on the left, look down and shoot the floor to reveal Beam Blocks to create a new passage into a doorway below. In this large darkened room, there will be a single interactive device you can step onto to try restoring power to this part of Dairon.
