Model Julia Fox has said that dating Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) was "overwhelming and unsustainable."
Barrymore asked Fox what it was like entering Ye's orbit, and whether the rapper saw her as a muse.

Fox said: "I just embraced it. I was like, 'I'll wear the fashion. I'll wear the clothes. I'll do what he says.' But I could only do it for so long. 'Cause ultimately I think he needed a full-time person and I just couldn't be full-time."
The "Uncut Gems" star went on to say that she found herself dividing her attention between Ye and her 2-year-old son, Valentino.

"I had my son and then he'd wanna talk on the phone a lot and like, I'd have to change diapers, and so I bought a pair of AirPods so I could keep it in while I was doing mom stuff," Fox said. "It was so overwhelming and so unsustainable."
"I think I just realized very quickly it just wasn't gonna be sustainable because, ultimately, I cannot put anybody else first. My son has to be first," she added. "It just became too much. Like, I didn't sign up to have two babies, you know?"
Fox previously discussed breaking up with Ye in September 2022, saying that she "tapped out after the first red flag."
"It just seems like he had a lot to work on, and I just don't have time for it, or energy," she said. "I don't have the bandwidth or emotional capacity for it. I'm proud of myself for that."

While dating Fox, Ye was going through a divorce from Kim Kardashian. The divorce was finalized in November 2022.
