Celebrate Brooklyn Park: Tater Daze Parade and Community Gathering offers an opportunity to connect with neighbors and appreciate what makes us Unique, United, and Undiscovered!

We are seeking performers, vendors, food trucks, community organizations, businesses, and/or politicians interested in participating in the 2024 Celebrate Brooklyn Park Parade and Community Gathering.

Application details

To apply, print out the form below and send your application and requested documents to the mailing address or email below. The application deadline has been extended for parade units until May 20. We are no longer accepting Community Gathering applications.

Saturday, June 1, 11 am – 12 pm

The annual Celebrate Brooklyn Park: Tater Daze Parade is back featuring emergency vehicles, live music, dance, community organizations, local businesses, and political candidates. Bring your chair or blanket to sit back and enjoy the parade. This event is for all ages; no pets except designated service animals.

Parade route

Line up along 101st to Regent to Oak Grove Pkwy to enjoy the show! See the blue line on the map for the full parade route.

Parking

Parking is available at St Gerard Church. Overflow parking can be found at Noble Sport Park and Woodland Elementary School. Designated areas are highlighted on the map above.

Restrooms

Portable toilets are available on Regent near the North Fire Station.

Accessibility

Limited noise-canceling headphones are available for check-out at the Recreation & Parks welcome table near the North Fire Station.

In case of emergency

Call 911 if someone is experiencing a medical emergency. First aid is available at North Fire Station.

Saturday, June 1, 12 – 4 pm

After the Parade visit the Celebrate Brooklyn Park Community Gathering! Explore and support a wide variety of local vendors, food trucks, and community resources. See below for the full list of food trucks and performances. More information on vendors to come!

How to get there

Event parking is accessed via Zane Ave N or 85th Ave at Edinbrook Terrace (see map below). Follow event parking signs after turning onto Edinbrook Terrace. Please note that the CAC entrance on 85th Ave N will be closed.

Parking is available at the Community Activity Center (CAC) main lot accessible via Zane Ave N & Edinbrook Terrace. Overflow parking is at City Hall via Edinbrook Terrace.

Quiet station

A sensory-friendly tent will be available for attendees. Health on the Go is providing a quiet station for sensory breaks, nursing mothers, diaper changing, prayer, or other needs.

Accessibility

Accessible parking and portable toilets will be available next to the event entrance adjacent from the Makers Market.

Health on the Go is providing a quiet station for nursing mothers, diaper changing, prayer, or other needs.

Adaptive Recreation will be onsite with a sensory-friendly tent for attendees who may need a quiet and calming space during the event. This tent will be staffed by our Adaptive Recreation Specialist and Therapeutic Recreation Interns.

Are pets allowed?
No pets except designated service animals.

The media kit includes flyers, an event schedule, social media graphics and other important event details. These can be useful for parade participants or vendors who want to promote the event.
