The world has been plunged into chaos as rifts open all over the world, teleporting in enemies and allies of old and new. Can you band together a team to stop the invigorated Bloon army?
— Game description

Changes & Tweaks from BTD6[]

  • The Alchemist top path has been heavily nerfed, because of the pure amount of buffing towers making their way into the game.
  • Achievement unlocks in-game will be signified by a pop up from the top of the screen along with a sound effect, like BATTD's achievement pop-ups.
  • Speaking of achievements, secret achievements will have a purple background in the achievements menu and have a purple pop up.
  • Dr Monkey, Wise Monkey (the old monkey with a book on the Disable/Enable Monkey Knowledge button), and various heroes say (and by say I mean a speech bubble will appear along with the speaker in question's icon) the pre-round tips.
  • The Co-Op button has been removed for a new Multiplayer menu, where you can play co-op. This is further explained in its section.
  • The Mailmonkey (the monkey with that mailbag that you click on to do challenges) has all the news about BTD in general, any current sales and daily, advanced and co-op challenges. News, sales, and challenges are divided into categories, with the ability to "Mark as Read" news and sales.
  • Mailmonkey's friend (the monkey with a tablet that stands next to the Mailmonkey whenever there is a co-op challenge) will always be present to provide Multiplayer access. Player-made challenges are moved to here also.
  • The Patch Notes Monkey will be standing next to the Mailmonkey delivering to you all the news about the latest update, including in-game patch notes.
  • A huge difficulty and game mode rework!|Difficulties and Gamemodes|A huge difficulty and game mode rework!
  • Monkeys are renamed back to Towers.

Tower & Bloon Changes[]

  • Some Monkeys have been renamed to keep a naming pattern, i.e. "[insert profession, weapon or projectile here] Monkey".
  • Double Gun and Cleansing Foam have been swapped, so Double Gun is on the middle path and Cleansing Foam is on the bottom path.
  • Instead of ignoring White Bloons, Ice Monkeys will just stare at them with disappointment.
  • Speaking of Ice Monkeys, Ice Monkeys can now damage and freeze MOAB-class Bloons (albeit the freeze duration is massively nerfed).
  • Meme towers and heroes are buffed or reworked so they are actually good and aren’t memes anymore. Even towers and heroes that aren't memes (yet...) that are still under-powered will be buffed or reworked.
  • Heroes have additional voice lines for when you use a continue and when you lose the game.
  • As if DDTs weren't brutal enough, they are now faster than a Pink Bloon.
  • The BAD's children have been changed to 3 ZOMG's and 4 DDTs instead of 2 ZOMG's and 2 DDT's, at the price of a health decrease.
  • Every property can be applied to all Bloons. This means Camo Regen ZOMGs and Fortified Reds.
  • Informative, yet funny descriptions for previously obscure upgrades.
  • Fast Forward no longer makes towers worse.
  • A new speed option called Super Fast Forward is added, for those who like to live in the fast lane.
  • Towers will now show their total price in conjunction with the selling price.
  • The Weak targeting priority returns and all the targeting priorities are split into buttons.
    • All of them also gain individual hotkeys for each.
  • You can now disable individual monkey knowledge instead of disabling all knowledge altogether.
    • (I don't know why someone would need this, but the option is now here)
  • The glue prioritisation system is now much simpler.
    • Glue from same tiers can stack. However, its effects do not. The Bloon will be slowed/take damage over time/take extra damage by whichever glue has the bigger numbers.
    • Glue from higher tiers will override lower tier glues.
  • 0-5-0 Mortar Monkey is renamed to Mortar Emplacement, after the BTD5 specialty building. It also has a new buff and a new description:
    • Main attack gains additional bonus damage to stunned Bloons. All Mortar Monkeys have new auto aim targeting priority and do more damage to BADs and Boss Bloons. Pop and Awe ability: rains explosions over the whole screen, damaging and immobilizing all bloons for a few seconds.
    • The auto aim priority is also like the BTD5 specialty building. Mortars affected can be set to First and automatically reposition the attack reticle.
  • The 0-0-5 Heli Pilot Comanche Commander has a minor description reword:
    • Elite comanches have upgraded weapons and are called in PERMANENTLY.

New Features[]

  • Paragons...?
  • A brand-new Multiplayer menu and Versus Mode!

  • Special missions are back!
  • More achievements!
  • More secret achievements and extras because I think they're cool!
  • Every track from the BTD series is returning!
  • Returning properties from BATTD and some new properties!
  • New Bloons to be modified!
  • Reworked looting and item system!
  • Even more heroes, as if there wasn't enough!
  • Returning heroes from BATTD!
  • Two whole classes of new towers!
  • Sidegrading!
  • Returning powers from BTD5 and BATTD!
  • Completely new powers!
  • Track items are back!
  • You can get Pro and Epic versions of powers if you use them enough!
  • Even more monkey knowledge!
  • An unnecessary amount of exclamation marks!

Difficulties and Gamemodes[]

Difficulty is what determines how hard or challenging BTD7: Worlds Collide is. There are 4 main difficulties, each with their own rules and sub-modes.

Easy ends on round 40, and every subsequent mode ends 20 rounds later than the last.

Everyone is Here!Have every tower on the map at once.UndecidedThis would be a very early-game achievement because you just have to place down the towers, not upgrade them. If I do end up thinking of a reward, it will be biased because of this reason.

Well, this is awkward...Lose to a Red Bloon on Round 100.400 Monkey Money, random Insta-MonkeyYou have to lose to a Red Bloon, not leak one. So this means you’ll have to beat rounds 1 to 99 on Impoppable or some game mode with one life to get instantly killed by one Red Bloon.
