Honkai: Star Rail officially released details about Acheron and her Into the Yawning Chasm Light Cone, which will be available in the 2.1 version.

Honkai: Star Rail is among miHoYo’s most popular games, alongside Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd. It sets itself apart from the two as a strategy turn-based role-playing game with an immersive world and storyline.

The addition of Penacony in the Honkai: Star Rail 2.0 update also introduced us to new characters such as Aventurine and Acheron, both of whom will be available in version 2.1, which will be released on March 27, 2024.

Here are the details about Acheron’s traces, leveling materials, and more, as well as for her signature Light Cone, “Into the Yawning Chasm.”

Character Overview

Acheron is a DPS character who accumulates charges by inflicting debuffs on enemies to unleash her Ultimate. With her Ultimate, Acheron ignores enemy Weakness Types, drains all enemies’ Toughness, and reduces their Type RES.

Acheron’s Technique can also instantly eliminate some enemy targets during exploration.

Acheron Skills and Animations

Idle Animation

Technique: Quadrivalent Ascendance

Immediately attacks the enemy. Gains quadrivalent Ascendance at the start of every wave, deals Lightning DMG to all enemies and reduces Toughness of all enemies irrespective of Weakness Types. Enemies with their Weakness Broken in this way will trigger the Lightning Weakness Break effect.

Quadrivalent Ascendance: Acheron obtains 1 point of Slashed Dream after she uses her Ultimate, and applies 1 stack of Crimson Knot on a random enemy. Attacking Normal enemies will instantly defeat them without needing to enter battle. Enemies who aren’t hit won’t consume Technique Points.

Basic Attack: Trilateral Wiltcross

Deals Lightning DMG to a single enemy.

Talent: Atop Rainleaf Hangs Oneness

When Slashed Dream reaches its upper limit, the Ultimate can be activated. During the Ultimate, it reduces enemies’ Toughness regardless of Weakness Types and all enemies’ All-Type RES, lasting until the end of the Ultimate.

When any unit inflicts debuffs on an enemy target while using their ability, Acheron gains 1 point of Slashed Dream and inflicts 1 stack of Crimson Knot. If debuffs are inflicted on multiple targets, then the 1 stack of Crimson Knot will be inflicted on the enemy target with the most Crimson Knot stacks. This effect can only trigger once every ability usage.

When Acheron is on the battlefield, when an enemy target leaves or any unit is defeated, their Crimson Knot stacks will be transferred to the enemy target with the most Crimson Knots left on the battlefield.

Skill: Octobolt Flash

Gains 1 point of “Slashed Dream” that inflicts 1 stack of Crimson Knot on a single target enemy and deals Lightning DMG to them, as well as a certain amount of Lightning DMG to adjacent targets.

Ultimate: Slashed Dream Cries in Red

Delivers 3 Rainblades and 1 Stygian Resurge in succession. Enemies cannot be inflicted with Crimson Knot while the Ultimate is active.

Rainblade: Deals Lightning DMG to a single target enemy, and removes up to 3 stacks of Crimson Knot from the target. When Crimson Knot is removed, deals Lightning DMG to all enemies, with the additional DMG multiplier for this increased for every stack of Crimson Knot removed. The DMG multiplier has a max limit.

Stygian Resurge: Deals Lightning DMG to all enemies and removes all Crimson Knots.

Light Cone Ability

Streerer (Superimposition Level 1)

Increases the wearer’s CRIT DMG by 36%. When the wearer hits the enemy target, inflicts Empty Bubbles on the enemy, lasting for 1 turn. This effect can be triggered 1 time against each target for every attack the wearer launches. The wearer deals 24% more DMG to targets afflicted with Empty Bubbles, and DMG from the wearer’s Ultimate additionally increases by 24%.

This 5-Star Light Cone will not be available in the Stellar Warp and can only be obtained in the limited Light Cone banner.

Acheron Drip Marketing

Acheron was first revealed as a Lightning Nihility 5-Star character on January 23, 2024, through the official Honkai: Star Rail X account. She would be voiced by Allegra Clark, who is notable for her voice acting for characters such as Beidou from Genshin Impact.

Her character model was leaked last month, which garnered considerable attention from the Honkai: Star Rail players. This is the transformation of Acheron whenever she uses her Technique in the overworld as well as her ultimate.

Acheron’s kit and skills

Acheron’s Preliminary Kit was leaked through HomDGCat. It listed her skills, Traits, and Eidolons. These are all subject to change, as there is still incomplete data, especially regarding the Traits and Eidolons. Nonetheless, her Technique caught the players’ attention, and they initially thought it was absurd.

Skills:

• Basic ATK: Deals Lightning DMG based on ATK, and gains 1 Energy Point.
• Skill: Deals Lightning DMG to a single target and adjacent targets based on ATK and gains 2 Energy Points.
• Ultimate: Consumes all Energy Points and enters the Ultra Pose, performing the following actions within 1 turn. During Ultra Pose, all enemies’ All-Type RES is decreased. This is the three-part ultimate which deals Lightning DMG to the enemies.
• Talent: Energy Point – Acheron initially has 0 Energy Points. When she has enough Energy Points, her ult will be available. She would apply 1 Lotus to a target or automatically select the one with the most Lotus, which prioritizes Elite enemies.
  Lotus Bloom – Consumes Lotus held by a single target, with an upper limit of 3 per target. This deals Lightning DMG to all targets and counts as Ultimate DMG. This DMG is increased by 100% for every Lotus consumed, independent from other buffs.
• Technique: Immediately kills an enemy target. If unsuccessful, it deals Lightning DMG to all targets after entering battle and gains some Energy Points.

In another leak of Acheron’s Kit through Dimbreath, they detailed the materials needed for her, which are: Shape Shifter’s Lightning Staff, Past Evils of the Borehole Planet Disaster, Heaven Incinerator, Starfire Essence, Fiery Spirit, Dream Making Engine, Dream Flow Valve, and Dream Collection Component.

This also included many changes to the description of Acheron’s Skills, from her Basic ATK to her Technique, which now states “Immediately attacks the enemy” instead of “Immediately kills the enemy.”

Changes occurred during the Honkai: Star Rail 2.1 Beta, which included many of her Eidolons (1, 4, and 6), Talent (Red Oni), and her Technique. This may be getting closer to what players will actually get when she is released for 2.1.
