Best moveset for Zoroark

The best moves for Zoroark are Snarl and Foul Play when attacking Pokémon in Gyms. This move combination has the highest total DPS and is also the best moveset for PVP battles.

Moves Breakdown

Nasty Plot allows Hisuian Zoroark to set up for a sweep, boosting its Special Attack stat by two stages. Shadow Ball is its STAB Ghost-type Move, which will be a consistent way to deal damage to most Pokemon. Hyper Voice is Hisuian Zoroark's Normal-type STAB, which has a respectable base power of 90.

Many Trainers have high expectations for Hisuian Zoroark in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet due to its unique typing, solid stats, and excellent movepool.

By having a Paldean Zoroark with the opposite gender or a Ditto in the party, Hisuian Zoroark can breed but will only hatch Paldean Zorua.

Zoroark can create illusions that are indistinguishable from reality, deluding many people simultaneously. It can even create illusory landscapes in the forests where it dwells, to hide its territory and protect its den.

In short, Hisuian Zoroark is a little faster and the better special attacker compared to regular Zoroark. On the other hand, regular Zoroark has slightly-better Attack and HP. One advantage Hisuian Zoroark has over regular Zoroark is fewer type weaknesses and cannot be injured by Normal or Fighting-type moves.

Bitter malice is fun but usually shadow ball is needed for the extra power, with flamethrower for coverage, though I've seen Focus blast used a lot. Usually runs a choice item if you're not using nasty plot, and Sash if you are.

However, while these Pokemon can be transferred from Legends: Arceus to Scarlet and Violet and even traded off to other trainers with no problems, Hisuian Pokemon are not native to the Paldea Region, and therefore cannot be caught during a Scarlet and Violet playthrough.

Lucario and Zoroark are mistaken as pseudo-Legendaries because of the way in which they are to be obtained. Edit: to answer the topic, punishment isn't worth it on Zoroark. You'll want to use it against stat boost abusers, who are most likely dragon dancers or quiver dancers who will outspeed you anyway. Or bulk up abusers, who are usually fighting type Pokemon. The common calm mind users are faster than Zoroark.

Aerial Ace... is another physical attack. Agility doubles Zoroark's already nice Speed, but really... it is an inferior boosting move to Nasty Plot. Extrasensory is another Special Attack, but aside from hitting Conkeldurr.
