What is Overpower Damage?
Damage Based on the Sum of Maximum and Fortified Life
Overpower damage is a damage type that is based on the sum of your character's current HP and Fortify HP. Overpower damage is shown as Teal colored text when damaging an enemy.
How to Maximize Overpower Damage
Has a Flat 3% Chance of Proccing
Overpower damage has a flat 3% chance of proc chance. This percentage cannot be increased, so take that into consideration when you're trying to create a build focused on Overpower damage.
However, although you have no way of raising those chances, other sources such as Skills, Paragon, and Aspects for certain classes do offer guaranteed Overpower procs.
Use Skills or Aspects that Guarantee Overpower
There are various skills, aspects, and even Vampiric Powers that allows you to get guaranteed Overpower attacks. This will allow you to override the low 3% chance of Overpower Triggers by relying on other conditions to use Overpower attacks.
How to Determine Overpower Procs
Overpower Damage Text is Colored Blue
To know if you have dealt Overpower damage, you'll know that it is one if you see a Teal colored damage text from the enemy. There are no other indicator to know aside from watching for Teal texts during the battle.
Overpower Damage with Critical Strike Damage is Colored Orange
In-game loading screen tip
While Critical Strike Damage is normally colored Yellow, it will turn to a much deeper Orange when Overpower Damage occurs simultaneously.
