It will be part of an attention-grabbing demonstration staged by farm workers and their supporters. And it will be among the rallies, marches and other events held around Ohio and the nation to push reform of U.S. immigration policies. Members of the Farm Labor Organizing Committee plan the Tiffin demonstration to protest Gillmor's vote on a recent immigration bill.
Baldemar Velasquez, president of the Toledo-based farm workers' union, has given his 20-member staff the day off to attend the march. He said they all dress in white as a sign of solidarity. Velasquez said some of the marchers will dress as space aliens and that he is looking for some musicians to serenade Gillmor to try to woo him. "We admit we're aliens, but we are here in peace," VeJasquez said. Gillmor said he supports the right to demonstrate, but defended 1 his vote on the legislation, which he said was to strengthen border security.

Rita's Medical Center. She was born Aug. 10, 1940, in Aulgaize County to William A. and Marguerite R. Seigel Metz, who preceded her in death.
Ms. Metz began her teaching career by teaching sixth grade in Woodland Elementary School in Mansfield. She then taught at Blume High Metz School and the Middle School. She retired from Wapakoneta City Schools in 2001, after teaching for nearly 40 years. She was a 1958 graduate of Blume High School.
She received her bachelor's degree in elementary education Bowling Green State University in 1963. She earned her master's degree in library science from Ball State University. She was a member and silver sister of Alpha Delta Kappa. She was a life member of the Ohio Education Association along with membership in the National Education Association and the Wapakoneta Education Association. She was' a member of the Auglaize Retired Teachers Association, Wapakoneta Women's Club and a local book club.
She was a track official and member of the Western Ohio Track and Field Association and was in-, volved in the Redskin Relays since its inception. She was a former adviser to the Student Senate at Blume High School. She was a faithful member of St. John United Methodist Church, St. Johns.
She was the organist there for more than 40 years. She was a gifted pianist who played for churches and weddings around the area. She also enjoyed accompanying Wapakoneta Middle and High School students during musical competitions. She was the accompanist for the Christian quartet, Just Us. She was instrumental in organizing and cochairing the annual St.
Johns School Reunion. She was an avid traveler and was one of the first teachers to be invited to travel to China. After retirement she continued to travel and complete her family's genealogy. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include a brother, Charles W.

On Aug. 7, 1954, he married Florence I. "Flossie" Schulte, who Mr. Sehlhorst. was a farmer Metz and retired from Ford Motor Co.
He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and a graduate of Columbus Grove High School. Ottoville LAWRENCE W. MILLER, 87, died at 10:40 p.m. April 29, 2006, at Calvary Manor Nursing Home, Ottawa. He was born Aug. 4, 1918, in Van Wert to William and Christina Fischer Miller, who preceded him in death.
On June 7, 1947, he married Helen Metzger, who survives in Continental. Mr. Miller retired after 39 years at Ford Motor Co. He was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ottawa.
He was a member of the United Auto Workers union Local 1219, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3740, Ottoville, Fraternal Order of Eagles in Delphos, and American Legion Post 541 in Continental.
