Six months after its debut,
NewJeans
' mini
album
‘
Get Up
’ is still rocking the charts, making history on the
Billboard 200
.
Last year, NewJeans burst onto the scene, becoming the fastest female
K-pop
artist ever to hit No. 1 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart with their album ‘Get Up.’ Now, after half a year, the EP is celebrating a remarkable achievement—it's been on the Billboard 200 for 25 consecutive weeks!
‘Get Up’ now stands as the second K-pop girl group album to achieve this milestone, closely following BLACKPINK's 2020 album ‘THE ALBUM,’ which spent an impressive 26 weeks on the chart.
But that's not all! NewJeans is now only the third K-pop artist in history to have an album chart for 25 weeks, joining the ranks of BTS and BLACKPINK.
Beyond the Billboard 200, ‘Get Up’ is making waves on other charts as well. This week, it climbed to No. 2 on Billboard's World Albums chart, No. 17 on the Top Current Album Sales chart, and No. 22 on the Top Album Sales chart. Additionally, ‘Get Up’ re-entered the Tastemaker Albums chart at No. 15.
NewJeans is not just conquering album charts—multiple songs are also climbing global charts. On the Global Excl. U.S. chart, ‘Ditto,’ ‘Super Shy,’ ‘OMG,’ ‘ETA,’ and ‘Hype Boy’ are making their mark. Meanwhile, on the Global 200, ‘Super Shy,’ ‘Ditto,’ ‘OMG,’ and ‘ETA’ are holding strong.
To top it off, NewJeans maintains a spot on Billboard's Artist 100 at No. 90 this week, making it their 21st week on the chart.
Congratulations to NewJeans for this incredible achievement! K-pop fans around the world are celebrating your success!
