Louisiana Tech University Reviews
Rating 3.84 out of 5 1,137 reviews
Rating 4 out of 5
As an engineering student the teachers can be frustrating with the weird lack of choices if you are “a quarter behind” so that sucks but because of the quarter system you can get ahead in your degree’s more general education requirements. This isn’t a party school. The food is fine if you’re not from the south but if you are it’s a little disappointing. The newer housing is fine but everything is cheaply constructed so it’s almost already falling apart. The Ruston community is great and really tech supportive!

I think Louisiana Tech has a good tight-knit community that is very welcoming to new students in both undergrad and graduate classes. My first quarter at Tech was filled with laughter, passionate professors, and an interesting diverse student body. My classes were a good balance thanks to a lot of helpful resources on campus relating to advising and career opportunities. If you are looking for a not-too-small-not too-large campus with a fascinating love for bulldogs, you should consider Louisiana Tech!
