Deep plane lip lift
A deep plane lip lift is customized to your specific anatomy, releasing the deeper soft tissue layer, known as SMAS (superficial musculoaponeurotic system). The incision is made in the crease between the nose and upper lip during a deep plane lip lift. The SMAS layer is released and addressed with deep sutures, achieving a tension-free closure and nearly invisible scar, hidden in the folds of the skin.
Corner lip lift
Patients who would like to address a downturn at the corners of their upper lift can benefit from a corner lip lift. In some cases, a deep plane lip lift can address this. For others, a corner lip lift is needed to achieve balanced symmetry and a pleasant, natural upturn of the upper lip. A small incision is made at the vermillion border, and a small flap of skin is removed to lift the upper lip at the corners. After the incision heals, the scar is nearly imperceptible.
