Expert Advice from Local Travelers

What makes Seattle a budget-friendly destination? Or not?

We always stay a bit outside of town when we visit Seattle. There are so many day trips and opportunities to get into nature, that being a bit removed from the downtown is actually convenient and affordable.

We stayed at a cheap hotel right in the downtown. It was easy to get around and we particularly liked all of the Asian food, which is very affordable.

We only took public transit a little bit because it's not as convenient as it is in some cities. But if you want to get by without a car, it may be possible.
