What happens if I get in an accident or lose the keys or need a tow?

G930700 is the discount code for IBM employees. There's a decent chance you will be asked at the rental counter for employee ID. If you can't produce it, you will be charged the walk-up rate which is going to be significantly higher than what you booked at. It's probably not worth the risk when there are so many legitimate public discount codes out there that you qualify for.

I don't know off-hand if the IBM Avis discount automatically adds LDW, but if it does and you get into an accident, that would be another source of problems. There's a good chance your credit card and/or own personal insurance would then cover any damage, but it could put you in an uncomfortable situation.

I assume you mean $219 is the base rate before taxes and fees are added in ($270 with tax). Not seeing anything lower than that right now, but you can always use the link below to track the rate. Prices sometimes drop as the pickup date approaches.

AWD # Z921610. Hopefully this is a big saver

For My Temple, Corp, AWD# Z921610.

Seems to work best at ATL, ORD, and DFW locations. I am not sure what questions if any have been asked when renting. If you have used it please post your experience.

Really Good AWD - C005100

Hey y'all,

I found this really good AWD code ... the rates are really great and it includes unlimited km / miles, no under age fee...

The company is Hollywood Events they don't ask for proof.

I'd say use it as much as possible.

AWD: C005100

Company: Hollywood Events

Hi all, when they ask for employee ID (when using a corporate AWD code) are they making a copy of your employee badge and/or business card or is it just a matter of them needing to see it and that's it?

Often they don't ask, but if they do, they just want to make sure you are an employee of the company whose discount code you are using. Then again, if you are an Avis Preferred member, you'll likely skip the counter at most airport locations, so this wouldn't even apply.

Thanks for the response. I am avis preferred (preferred plus as a matter of fact), but this is my first rental since getting to the preferred level. Additionally, since the last time that I rented a car from Avis ( which was probably at least four years ago ) my credit card has changed and I also moved to a different state so I have a totally different drivers license.

Does this mean that I will need to go to the counter and they will need to verify the credit card and or drivers license or anything like that?

If so, I happen to have an avis location just about two minutes away from my office so I was considering swinging by there on my way to work one day and asking them to do whatever they need to do in terms of verification.

I'm going to be on a tight timeline when I land at the airport so I really want things to go smoothly and don't want to have to deal with waiting at the counter if there is any way to avoid it.

Costco discount, no airline FF# miles?

Just made a reservation through Costo's travel website. It honestly was the cheapest rate for my car size I could find (tried tons of coupons, AAA, etc. with several different companies). It took my Wizard number fine with no change of rate.

But there was no input field for any airline frequent flyer number.

I tried logging onto Avis.com using my Wizard number and while I see the reservation, there still is no input field on any of the "modify" options.

Are FF#'s not allowed with Costco reservations?

At what location are you picking up the rental?

Have you tried rebooking the reservation at avis.com, using the Costco AWD? Or calling Avis Customer Service and asking whether they can add your FFN to your existing reservation?

All times are GMT -6. The time now is 10:49 pm.
