Roman Reigns and Goldberg's Universal Championship match was the curtain-raiser at Elimination Chamber. Their bout was supposed to happen two years ago at WrestleMania 36, but the COVID-19 pandemic had other ideas with Reigns ruled out.

This was never going to be a technical masterclass and it was a typical Goldberg match, where he connected with a spear. Goldberg attempted the Jackhammer but Reigns countered it with the Guillotine Choke, and he successfully retained the Universal Championship as Goldberg faded.

The go-home episode of Raw before SummerSlam featured The Bloodline colliding with Matt Riddle and The Street Profits in a six-man tag team. The Usos controlled the early stages of the match, but things got interesting once Reigns became the legal man.

The Bloodline isolated Montez Ford in their side of the ring, and Ford was busted wide open after his head clattered into the steel of the turnbuckle. Nonetheless, Riddle attempted the RKO but Reigns blocked it, and he secured the win for The Bloodline with a devastating Spear.

Roman Reigns' Universal Championship and Brock Lesnar's WWE Championship were at stake in the main event of WrestleMania 38 with the winner being crowned as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. This was a hard-hitting match between the pair, but it was bitterly disappointing.

The Tribal Chief speared Lesnar through the barricade in a bid to halt Lesnar's dominance. In the closing stages, Reigns hit Lesnar with his Universal Championship, and he put Lesnar out of his misery with a Spear to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn represented The Bloodline in their final match of the year on SmackDown. They clashed with a returning John Cena and Kevin Owens in a tag team match. Fans chanted "We Want Cena", and Reigns prevented Cena from tagging in KO, which allowed Zayn to hit Cena with the Helluva Kick.

The Tribal Chief attempted to spear Owens but he crashed and burned into the ring post. The crowd went berserk when Owens managed to tag in Cena. It was a decent match with Cena executing the AA on Reigns, and KO finished off Zayn with the Stunner to secure the victory.

Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins slugged it out over the Universal Championship in the curtain-raiser at the Royal Rumble. Whilst, Reigns was waiting in the ring, Rollins played mind games by coming out to their old Shield theme song, and Rollins wore his trademark Shield gear.

This was a superb wrestling match, and he put Reigns through the broadcast table with a powerbomb. Reigns got some offense, and he attempted the Spear but Rollins countered it with a Pedigree. Ultimately, Reigns retained the Universal Championship despite losing by disqualification as he refused to release the Guillotine Choke.

The Bloodline led by the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns clashed with Kevin Owens, Drew McIntyre, and the Brawling Brutes in a War Games at Survivor Series WarGames. The Bloodline had a slight disadvantage with Owens' team getting all of their team members in first.

This was a brutal match with both teams slugging it out back and forth. However, in the closing stages, Sami Zayn showed that he was loyal to the Bloodline by attacking Kevin Owens. Jey Uso executed the Uso Splash on Owens with The Bloodline triumphant.

Riddle pushed Reigns to his limit in an entertaining championship match. Riddle connected with the Floating Bro a couple of times. There were several counters, and Riddle countered the spear with an RKO. Reigns posed with the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship during the match, and McIntyre took him down with the Claymore Kick. Fans acknowledge both teams' efforts and chanted "This is Awesome." The ring became unusable when the Beast Incarnate got onto his tractor and hoisted the ring off the ground. Austin Theory attempted to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase but he failed. Ultimately, The Usos interfered to help Reigns, and they buried Lesnar with part of the broadcast table, steel steps, and a chair among other items with Reigns remaining as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
