If you’re looking for Dreamcatchers in Red Dead Redemption 2 and having trouble spotting them all, look no further than this guide. These pretty but tricky to find collectibles are subtle and don’t take up a spot in your inventory. Instead, they just exist in the world and are marked on your map after you find them.

There are 20 total dreamcatcher sites. See all locations in the list below. We've sorted the dreamcatchers by state, and did our best to list them going from the left side of the map to the right.

  • New Hanover Dreamcatchers
  • Lemoyne Dreamcatchers
  • Ambarino Dreamcatchers

Dreamcatcher Tip: Your controller will briefly vibrate when you pass an inspectable point like a dreamcatcher tree.

There are a total of 14 dreamcatchers in New Hanover. You'll find eight of them in the western and central regions, and the remaining six in New Hanover's Roanoke Ridge region.

The Heartlands Hills Dreamcatchers

These dreamcatchers are some of the first you'll come across. Visit the Heartlands, NH, and ride toward the "N" in Heartlands on your map. Not far from the road is a tree filled with dreamcatchers that Arthur can observe.

Southwest of Limpany Dreamcatchers

A bare tree filled with dreamcatchers overlooks an intersection of three roads southwest of Limpany in The Heartlands. Walk or ride up the tiny ridge to observe these dreamcatchers

West of Caliban's Seat Dreamcatchers

These dreamcatchers are visible from the road on the west side of The Heartlands. If you're heading west on the road from Caliban's Seat, you'll see this on your way. Take a short diversion to inspect these dreamcatchers.

Lucky's Cabin Dreamcatchers

East of Lucky's Cabin in The Heartlands is a tree full of dreamcatchers. You can spot this tree if you take the side road east of Lucky's Cabin toward Valentine. The tree will be on your left.

Northern Heartlands Dreamcatchers

East of Valentine and north of Citadel Rock is another dreamcatcher tree. You'll know you're close if you see the bridge that goes over the train tracks. If you're coming from the east, you'll ride under the bridge to get to this tree. The tree itself overlooks the train tracks.

Horseshoe Overlook Dreamcatchers

Though technically not in Horseshoe Overlook, these Heartlands dreamcatchers are nearby. If you're heading north from Horseshoe Overlook along the tracks, you can find this tree with dreamcatchers amongst others and near the "E" in New on the map.

Heartland Overflow Dreamcatchers

On the southeast side of the Heartland Overflow is a nearly bare tree filled with dreamcatchers. You'll find it between the water and Guthrie Farm in The Heartlands.

Northeast Heartlands Dreamcatchers

This dreamcatcher tree is inside the "O" in New Hanover on the map, oddly. If you're taking the road to the east of that "O" north in The Heartlands, you can ride or walk through the flower field to the treeline. In these trees you'll find one luscious tree decorated with the dreamcatchers.

This one is a little harder to spot. Here's where we entered the treeline:

Bluewater Marsh Dreamcatchers

The Bluewater Marsh dreamcatchers tree lies at an intersection near the Lemoyne and New Hanover border. You'll be able to see a "Welcome to Lemoyne" sign from the lush dreamcatcher tree, as well as the marsh.

Elysian Pool Dreamcatchers

Southeast of the Elysian Pool in New Hanover's Roanoke ridge is another dreamcatcher tree. If you look on your map, the dreamcatchers are close to the top of the "E" in "Hanover." This area is quite lush, so be sure to pay attention to when your controller vibrates if you're having trouble finding this tree.

Roanoke Ridge Hill Dreamcatchers

Ride north toward Annesburg and you'll find yourself on a rather tall hill. On the east side of this hill is a tree with dreamcatchers. You can see the Lannahechee River far off in the distance when looking at the tree.

Annesburg Dreamcatchers

Just south of Annesburg is a dreamcatcher tree on a hill. This tree is tall, bare, and grey.

Annesburg Crossing Dreamcatchers

Ride to the Annesburg crossing for another dreamcatchers tree. This tree watchers over the intersection to the east of Annesburg. You'll be able to see this dreamcatchers tree from the west road of the intersection. If you're looking at the map, these dreamcatchers are on the tip of the second "N" in "Annesburg."

North Roanoke Ridge Dreamcatchers

This is the most northern dreamcatchers tree location in New Hanover. If you're riding from the road, you'll know when to enter the tree line when you spot boulders. This dreamcatchers tree is nestled between the road and the river. It's a tall tree without many leaves.

This state has only two dreamcatcher tree locations. They're nice and close to each other too.

Scarlett Meadows Dreamcatchers

Another lone tree filled with dreamcatchers is not too far off from the border of New Hanover and Lemoyne, just to the east of the Aberdeen Pig Farm. This lone tree is a little more luscious than the one in The Heartlands, thus it has fewer dreamcatchers hanging from the branches.

Lonnie's Shack Dreamcatchers

You'll find this dreamcatcher tree to the north of Lonnie's Shack. Cross to the north side of the road and walk to the tree line. On the left side of the tree line is a grey tree with no leaves. You'll find the dreamcatchers hanging on its bare branches.

Ambarino has a total of four dreamcatcher tree locations.

Grizzlies West Snowy Peak Dreamcatcher

This dreamcatcher tree in Ambarino is one of the most difficult to find. Unlike the others that are easily off the road, this one is up on a peak overlooking Grizzles West. Go north from the reticle on the map below to climb up the snowy hillside to find this tree.

Grizzlies West Campfire Dreamcatchers

On the east side of Grizzlies West is another dreamcatcher tree. You'll find this tree on the north side of the road with a camp not far away across the road.

Cotorra Springs Dreamcatchers

Head over to Cotorra Springs in Ambarino's Grizzlies East for another dreamcatcher tree. This tree is just east of the springs and overlooks the railroad tracks. You'll find it on the east side of the road. Across the road is a fallen grey tree. When you're next to the dreamcatcher tree, if you look west you'll be able to see the railroad and steam from Cotorra Springs.

The Loft Dreamcatchers

advertisem*nt

In Ambarino's Grizzlies East is The Loft, a lone lookout with a beautiful view. If you happen to look west from its tall tower, you'll spot a stubby grey tree with some pleasant dreamcatchers hanging from its bare branches. Ride the road south of The Loft going west to reach this dreamcatchers tree.

Take a look at the drawing Arthur makes of all the Dreamcatchers and you should notice that the drawing connects all the dots on the map to create a vague drawing of a buffalo. However, there's one dot on the map that's not connected to all of the others and it's the one above Elysian Pool.

Head to the Elysian Pool and go under the waterfall. Bring out a lantern and walk through the cave until you reach a wide open area where you can clearly see everything. Go to the right and climb up the edge to see a buffalo painted on the wall. Inspect it and then look into the eye of the painted buffalo and interact with it. You'll get the Ancient Arrowhead which is a unique item you'll find in your Satchel. The Ancient Arrowhead lowers the rate your stamina decreases when you use the Bow to kill targets which makes it very beneficial for hunting prey. Finding the Ancient Arrowhead completes the mission.
