Disabling Proxy Settings in Google Chrome
OpenGoogle Chrome.
At the top right of the browser toolbar, clickMore.
SelectSettings.

In theSystemsection, clickOpen proxy settings.
This will open theInternet Propertieswindow. UnderLocal Area Network (LAN) settings, click onLAN settings.
UnderAutomatic configuration, uncheckAutomatically detect settings. Also make sureUse a proxy server for your LANis unchecked.

OpenFirefox.
Click theMenubutton.
SelectSettings.
In theGeneralsection, scroll down until you seeNetwork Settingsand then click theSettingsbutton.
Select eitherNo proxyorAuto-detect proxy settings for this network.

Disabling Proxy Settings in Safari
OpenSafari.
Click theSafarimenu and clickPreferences.
Select theAdvanced tab, and click on Change Settings(next toProxies).
This will open theProxiessection ofNetwork Preferences.Nothing should be checkedin here;if it is, remove the check markand clickOK.
