The 2024 recruiting cycle is officially in full swing, and the Top247 rankings received a major shakeup this week with the first update since mid-November. The latest set of rankings features the first full 32-player five-star field for the 2024 class, as 20 additional players were elevated to five-star status.

With that in mind, we have decided to take a look at the five-star prospects in the 2024 class and where things stand in their recruitments. Just five of the 32 five-stars have already announced their commitments, while the remaining 27 are still undecided on where they will play in college.

Three college football programs have at least one commitment from a five-star recruit in the 2024 class. Alabama and Georgia lead the way with two commits among that group, while Ohio State has one.

1) Dylan Raiola | QB | Pinnacle (Ariz.)

College football recruiting: Updated list of 5-star prospects in the 2024 class (2)

247Sports rank: 5-star | 98 rating | No. 1 Overall | No. 1 QB
Recruitment status: Undecided
247Sports Crystal Ball: USC 55.6% | Nebraska 33.3% | Georgia 11.1%
Measurables: 6-3 | 220
Scouting report: Raiola checks the box with verified numbers of 6-foot-3, 228 pounds. With 9.5-inch hands he surely should not have any issues with ball security and control. The ability to drive the ball with velocity regardless of the weather conditions are things that impress because of his mechanics and ability to transfer his weight in the lower body and not just rely on his arm to make throws. He has a fluid throwing motion that does not possess any flaws or hitches. Flashed the ability to utilize touch on the ball and not just throw his fastball. The ability to change ball speeds led him to make throws into different windows with trajectory to get to the receiver at a high level. Does a nice job with ball placement throwing receivers open and away from defenses in particular when making plays in the middle of the field where you find high traffic areas against defenses. Shows that he is comfortable playing either in the shotgun or underneath center. Raiola can make all the throws within the route-tree to make plays when he is in the pocket or on the move. The growth he will continue to show will be in facing different defenses with regards to coverages that he will have to decipher as he evolves as a playmaker at the position. – 247Sports National Recruiting Expert Chris Singletary
NFL Draft projection: First Round

2) Jeremiah Smith | WR | Chaminade-Madonna Prep (Fla.)

College football recruiting: Updated list of 5-star prospects in the 2024 class (3)

247Sports rank: 5-star | 98 rating | No. 2 Overall | No. 1 WR
Recruitment status: Committed to Ohio State
Measurables: 6-3 | 198
Scouting report: One of the most talented wide receiver prospects to come out of South Florida in the modern recruiting era. The type of wideout that can beat a defense over the top one play and then box defenders out in the corner of the end zone the next. Has a knack for making high-level grabs look extremely routine, like plucking the football out of the air with one hand while in traffic. Initially was on the leaner side, but has filled out nicely over the past year or so and could eventually carry 215 pounds or more. A spirited route runner that uses his long stride to chew up turf before sinking his hips and getting in and out of his breaks. Extremely competitive at the catch point as he will simply overpower defensive backs in order to secure the prize. Highlight reel is full of deep shots (and for good reason), but has also shown that he can create chunk plays via quick screens and short drag routes. Ability to play above the shoulder pads is without a doubt a strength, but so is his ferocious release. Should be viewed as one of the top offensive playmakers in the 2024 cycle and a potential WR1 for a College Football Playoff regular. Will need to keep mastering all of the little things, but is already well ahead of the curve, which could lead to early playing time on Saturdays. NFL upside. – 247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins
Player comparison: Julio Jones | WR | Tampa Bay Buccaneers

3) Williams Nwaneri | DL | Lee’s Summit North (Mo.)

College football recruiting: Updated list of 5-star prospects in the 2024 class (4)

247Sports rank: 5-star | 98 rating | No. 3 Overall | No. 1 DL
Recruitment status: Undecided
247Sports Crystal Ball: Oklahoma 100%
Measurables: 6-5 | 250
Scouting report: Has verified size, length and testing data that is impressive for a player of his build and age. Rare change of direction and agility numbers at his size. Was a good young prospect as a freshman and sophom*ore but showed big developmental strides on the field as a junior. Quickness off the ball and foot speed in pursuit were improved and those qualities of his are at a high national level. Used his hands better and when combined with his physical gifts, makes him very tough to block. Does not let offensive linemen get clean punches off on him and is able to turn himself and get skinny to help with that. Can shade inside or play on the EDGE and is going to be able to project to any defensive scheme. Based on his size, strongside end or 3-4 defensive end are where we project him although he is rare enough athlete that he can be edge pass-rusher at his size. If the development we saw between sophom*ore and junior year continues, he is an elite national prospect who will be an impact college player and early draft choice. – 247Sports National Recruiting Analyst Allen Trieu
NFL Draft projection: First Round
Player comparison: A.J. Epenesa | DL | Buffalo Bills

4) Ellis Robinson IV | CB | IMG Academy (Fla.)

College football recruiting: Updated list of 5-star prospects in the 2024 class (5)

247Sports rank: 5-star | 98 rating | No. 4 Overall | No. 1 CB
Recruitment status: Committed to Georgia
Measurables: 6-1 | 185
Scouting report: The type of cornerback that has the tools to shut down one side of the field or take an opponent’s top receiver out of the game. Pushing 6-foot and equipped with arms that stretch north of 33 inches. Uses that length to his advantage as he’s one of the best in the 2024 cycle when it comes to locating the football, maintaining position and then making a play at the catch point. Pretty scheme versatile for a youngster as he has already been exposed to press, off-man and quarters coverages. Clean footwork and a smooth backpedal allows him to quickly gain plenty of depth while a balanced platform allows for swift transitions. Will eventually need to add some mass if he wants to consistently hold his own against college-sized players, but is already aggressive with his hands and can disrupt routes at the line of scrimmage. Is also a spirited open-field tackler. Tends to make acrobatic pass break ups look pretty routine, but that's likely a byproduct of his natural bounce. Has already tested in the upper percentile with a laser-timed 4.5 in the 40-yard dash on file to go along with a 36-inch vertical jump. While the takeaway totals might not blow some away (had just one interception as a junior) he was able to make a difference right away after transferring into the national power that is IMG Academy. More than likely will need some time to get adjusted to the speed and tactics of big-time college football, but is already pretty technically sound and could work his way onto the field sooner rather than later given his already impressive resume. NFL upside. – 247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins
Player comparison: Greg Newsome | CB | Cleveland Browns

5) Sammy Brown | LB | Jefferson (Ga.)

College football recruiting: Updated list of 5-star prospects in the 2024 class (6)

247Sports rank: 5-star | 98 rating | No. 5 Overall | No. 1 LB
Recruitment status: Undecided
Top schools (VIP): Clemson | Georgia | Ohio State | Oklahoma | Tennessee
247Sports Crystal Ball: No predictions
Measurables: 6-2.5 | 225
Scouting report: One of the top overall athletes to come out of the high school ranks in recent memory. Not only has racked up over 200 tackles and 3,500 rushing yards in three years at the varsity level, but has captured back-to-back gold medals on the wrestling mat and posted rare track and field numbers for someone that’s north of 225 pounds. Simply moves differently than other individuals his size – whether that be north-south or east-west. Could probably find a home somewhere at the Power Five level as a running back given how he powers his way through would-be tacklers, but tape suggests that he has a chance to be special as an off-ball linebacker. Does an excellent job of sifting through traffic and getting where he needs to be. Hasn’t faced the stiffest competition on Friday nights, but does exactly what he’s supposed to do in that type of setting as he sheds blocks and simply swallows up ball carriers. Can hold his own in 1-on-1 situations, but at his best in coverage when he can drop back into a zone and clog up passing lanes. Ability to bend while rounding the corner also makes him dangerous as a blister. Should be viewed as one of the top defensive prospects in the 2024 cycle. Likely to set weight room records at the school of his choice (can already clean 385 pounds) and push for early playing time with his work ethic and mindset. NFL upside. – 247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins

6) Ryan Wingo | WR | St. Louis University (Mo.)

College football recruiting: Updated list of 5-star prospects in the 2024 class (7)

247Sports rank: 5-star | 98 rating | No. 6 Overall | No. 2 WR
Recruitment status: Undecided
247Sports Crystal Ball: Tennessee 100%
Measurables: 6-2 | 205
Scouting report: Track background that includes a 10.55 in the 100-meter dash as a sophom*ore and a 21.31 200. Comes from a running back family but has the speed and pass-catching ability to play receiver or see a hybrid role in college. And has a leaner, high-cut build where he can play receiver but could also still motion into the backfield and be handed the ball some. Not only has track speed but has some wiggle, although he runs by defenders more than he makes them miss in a phone booth. That twitch can be seen as a route-runner also. Catches the ball well away from his frame and tracks it well over the shoulder. Is a good route runner currently but can still continue to add more craft and diversify his route tree as he gets older. Dangerous return man who can continue being a kick returner in college. Not the kind of player that has to be put in a box -- he is an offensive threat and scoreboard changer at the next level no matter how he touches the ball. Likely a future high draft choice with his combination of size, verified speed and versatility. – 247Sports National Recruiting Analyst Allen Trieu

Scouting report: A disruptive force in the middle that wins with an explosive get-off and heavy hands. Transferred into the national powerhouse that is IMG Academy in advance of his junior season and carved out a role right away up front for a team that finished ranked No. 5 in the MaxPreps Top 25. The type of interior lineman that offers plenty of value as a pass rusher as he quickly shoots into the backfield and gets to work. Ability to cross opposing linemen and collapse pockets is without a doubt promising, but shouldn’t exactly be viewed as some one-trick pony as he also understands how to shed blocks and eat up gaps. Changes directions better than most of his peers, which isn’t surprising given his streamlined build (measured just under 6-foot-3, 270 pounds in Spring 2022). Will need to keep progressing and take to coaching, but should be viewed as a potential difference-maker at the Power Five level, especially with his length (has a near 7-foot wingspan on file) and scheme versatility (has played a variety of different techniques at the prep level). Likely will need some time before he’s ready for a significant number of snaps on Saturdays, but could work his way into the rotation sooner rather than later in obvious passing situations with his burst. NFL upside. – 247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins

Scouting report: Long, high-upside frame with plus-plus wingspan. Tall in stature with major physical potential to add mass. Explosive edge rusher with impressive mobility. Flashes elite pass-rush ability with an array of moves. Shows great flexibility to bend and maneuver past blocks. Displays terrific hand usage to disengage while maintaining forward momentum. Attacks gaps with purpose and shows ability to counter. Could continue to add strength and improve in run support. Potential multi-year starter at elite Power Five level and projects as a Day 1 NFL Draft selection. – 247Sports Mountain Region Recruiting Analyst Blair Angulo

Scouting report: A talented two-way athlete that some colleges view as a wide receiver long-term while others think he’s a future all-conference safety. Followed breakout sophom*ore season up with a monster junior campaign on offense as he averaged 21.5 yards per catch, totaling 1,030 yards and nine touchdowns through the air in the Peach State’s highest-classification. At one point reported a basketball offer from Mississippi State, and it’s pretty easy to see why as he’s extremely coordinated in almost everything he does and is always putting himself in position to make a play. Long-speed at point was a bit of a question mark, but tested exceptionally well spring before 12th grade year, clocking one of the fastest 40-yard dash times at a loaded camp outside of Atlanta. Tape also backs up the number as he’s constantly pulling away from defenders and creating separation on deeper routes. On the other side of the ball, has flashed the ability to quickly close gaps and get to the catch point while playing more of a center-field role. Must eventually pick a position, but should be viewed as one of the top overall talents in the 2024 cycle given how he moves out on the perimeter. NFL upside if he can keep progressing. – 247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins

Scouting report: A two-way playmaker in one of Georgia’s higher classifications that is known for his footspeed and athletic markers after qualifying for states in the 100-meter dash as a freshman and then capturing bronze in the triple jump as a sophom*ore. Could probably play some offense at the next level as he’s more than capable of producing big gains via deep shots or jet sweeps, but ceiling appears to be highest in the secondary as he’s got plenty of range on the backend and always seems to be taking the right angles. Surprisingly physical given his wiry frame (measured roughly 6-foot, 185 pounds spring before junior year) and doesn’t seem to have too many issues wrangling much larger ball carriers to the ground. However, likely going to only make even more of an impact in run support once lifting in a college weight room. Should be viewed as one of the top safety prospects in the 2024 cycle given ball skills and closing speed. Looks rather comfortable in man-to-man situations on the offseason 7v7 circuit, but might be best suited to play in a zone-based scheme as that would allow him to just read and react to what’s going on in front of him. Will add plenty of special teams value. Track profile likely to draw plenty of looks from NFL scouts one day. – 247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins

12) Jordan Ross | EDGE | Vestavia Hills (Ala.)

Scouting report: Estimated at 6-foot-4 and 220-pounds, possesses growth potential to add additional weight to his frame at the next level. Flashes excellent athleticism off the edge as a 3-4 standup outside linebacker. Displays an explosive first step off the line of scrimmage and flashes outstanding initial foot and body quickness at the point of attack. Fluid athlete. Shows the ability to bend the edge and possesses good burst to close ability. Demonstrates good lateral change of direction ability and exhibits the ability to play in space both on the line of scrimmage and lined up as an off-ball linebacker. Shows the ability to consistently win with speed and athleticism off the edge. Will need to continue to develop his play strength at the point of attack in both the run and passing games to reach his full potential at the next level. Projects as a 3-4 OLB at the next level with ability to develop into an all-conference prospect on Saturdays. Ross’ combination of speed, athleticism and length make him one of the more intriguing upside pass rushers in this cycle as he only appears to be scratching the surface of his physical and technical development off the edge. – 247Sports National Recruiting Analyst Cooper Petagna

Scouting report: Verified size with plus three-inch wing. Has frame to add 20- to 25 pounds. During live eval burst off edge was elite, Covers a lot of ground with first two steps. High level athlete who can rush passer or drop into coverage. Productive with double digit sacks as a junior. Offers position flexibility as edge or outside linebacker. Plays edge and linebacker Friendship Collegiate and moves around. Takes some snaps with hand on ground. Is able to play low. Has lower body flexibility to dip and get around edge. Closing speed is impressive. Is physical and tackles through ball carrier. Understands how to uses hands to keep offensive tackles from engage. Takes on blocks and can locate ball carrier. Can shoot gaps and demonstrates body control to tackle in space. Consistently gets in backfield and disrupts plays. Back side pursuit is strength, especially when unblocked off edge. Has to continue to develop strength throughout frame. Has to work on technique. Relies heavily on athleticism and instinct. Shows some stack-and-shed ability but has to work to be more consistent with it. Can be impact player at Top 20 program. Early round NFL draft potential. – 247Sports National Recruiting Analyst Brian Dohn

247Sports rank: 5-star | 98 rating | No. 14 Overall | No. 5 WR
Recruitment status: Committed to Alabama
Measurables: 6-3 | 202
Scouting report: Estimated at 6-foot-3 and 200-pounds plus. Possesses a strong frame with growth potential to add additional weight to build. Three phase player that displays good athleticism in each phase of the game. Physical prospect on the offensive side of the ball that understands how to utilize his frame and play strength as a pass catcher and as a runner in the open field. Flashes excellent leaping ability with the ability to adjust within a wide catch radius. Plays more vertical than in-breaking as a route runner while showing the ability to get linear down field. Appears to exhibit good run after catch production, displaying the ability to consistently play through contact as a route runner and with the ball in his hands. Has a physical nature to him at the receiver position that is apparent when evaluating him on the defensive side of the ball and special teams. Will need to continue to improve as a pass catcher as he can sometimes let the ball get into his body and fight it at the catch point. Projects a Power Five multi-year starter at the collegiate level with the ability to contribute early due to his combination of size, speed, and athleticism. Verified track speed matches us up with his play speed, making him difficult to defend in the deep part of the field. Will need to continue to develop as a route runner in the short to intermediate part of the field to reach his full potential but has the physical tools to blossom into a WR1 on Saturdays and potentially Sundays. – 247Sports National Recruiting Analyst Cooper Petagna

Scouting report: Prototype corner size with excellent length. Already good-sized for a corner but still has frame space to add mass if desired while maintaining athleticism. Promising on-field profile with extensive snaps on both sides of the ball. Productive in all capacities with proven ball skills. Also a dangerous return option. Displays high-level receiver-like body control and adjustment ability. Knows how to high point and win throws in traffic. Fluid mover with better-than-expected suddenness relative to length / build when breaking on throws. Size / frame should allow for bona fide press competency, while rangy play style, ball skills, and awareness fit off coverage / zone very well. High-level functional athleticism fostered by multi-sport background. Basketball player who produces big numbers on the hardwood. Also owns limited track experience, primarily in relays. Verified combine testing provides a mixed bag. Looks like a top-tier short-area athlete with startling burst and agility, but can squeeze more juice out of open-field top-end gear. Size and instincts suggest high tackling potential, but technique and consistency can improve. Through junior football season, appears to be one of the top prospects in Texas and among the nation's top DBs in his class. Projects as a potential multi-year high-major impact player with a long-term ceiling that could lead to the earlier rounds of the NFL Draft. – 247Sports National Scouting Analyst Gabe Brooks

Scouting report: Requisite size with plus length. Owns physical tools and functional athleticism to play outside or from the slot. Highly productive high school receiver who's also provided big-play punch at running back and in the return game. Vertical field stretcher with very good initial burst that also aids in run-after-catch threat. Mid-air acrobat. Capable of contorting in traffic to win contested throws. Strong with the ball. Will provide periodic highlight grabs thanks to dexterity, hand strength, and adjustment nuance. Slippery strong after the catch. Dangerous cutback threat who can string together moves to befuddle tacklers well downfield. Shows an innate sense to avoid the worst contact when navigating mid-air collisions. Wily in ability to set up defenders while anticipating a high-point situation. Encouraging athletic profile includes basketball, track, and some goal-tending experience in soccer. No verified combine testing as of Feb. 2023, but hopefully new track and field data arrives in the spring. Displays impressive speed-changing acumen in run-after-catch opportunities, but that same trait in route running can manifest more consistently. Plenty fast but another gear may exist at the top end. Through junior season, has established himself as one of the Lone Star State's top overall prospects and an elite receiver nationally in the 2024 class. Projects as a potential high-major impact playmaker with a long-term ceiling that could result in early-round NFL Draft consideration. – 247Sports National Scouting Analyst Gabe Brooks

Scouting report: A high-effort, point-of-attack defender with a moldable frame and gap-closing speed. Size hasn’t been verified, but is believed to be hovering right around 6-foot-3, 245 pounds. More importantly is rumored to have a near 7-foot wingspan. Racked up 10 sacks and 15 quarterback hurries as a junior while working primarily out of a four-point stance in a three-man front. Could likely be deployed in a similar role at the next level, but might also be able to stand-up and work as a rush linebacker of sorts on Saturdays, or even beef up and attack from the inside as a 3-technique. Initial get-off can cause plenty of issues for blockers, but has also shown that he can win leverage and active hands while facing high-end competition in the Peach State. Must keep evolving and avoid setbacks (injured labrum winter of 11th grade year), but should be viewed as a potential difference-maker on Saturdays given motor, length and burst (at one point anchored school's 4x400 squad). Sunday potential as best football appears to still very much be ahead of him. – 247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins

Possesses the ability to change speeds and displays outstanding route tempo at the receiver position. Understands leverage and how to create natural separation from the defender. Demonstrates outstanding play speed but plays with excellent patience and body control. Shows the ability to consistently win 50/50 balls with leaping and adjust ability. Appears to have good play strength at the catch point and as a runner in the open field. Possesses the ability to consistently play through contact and displays outstanding elusiveness with the ball in his hands. Also maintains the ability to play on the defensive side of the ball, where he shares a lot of the same qualities on defense at the corner position. Plays with very good patience at the line of scrimmage and displays excellent instincts playing the ball in the air. A pure football player, Mbakwe also possesses outstanding verified speed with a 10.46 100-meter time from this spring. Projects as a corner at the next level with an ability to make an immediate impact on the defensive side of the ball, the return game and on multiple special teams units. Scouting report: Athletically-built offensive lineman who can live long term on the outside. Owns adequate height with above average length and frame space to continue adding mass. Plays mad and it shows in the run game. Excellent drive blocker who looks to finish blocks to the ground. Displays impressive lateral quickness and range when required to pull or reach targets at the second level. Plays with consistent leg drive, especially once engaged. Play strength is good and combines with size to often overwhelm smaller, overmatched defenders. Pass-pro reps are promisingly natural and effective. Quite light-footed and body-controlled in pass pro. Hand placement also shows encouraging consistency in pass reps. Faces excellent competition in practice and often in games, though high-profile program results in lack of preferred multi-sport profile and two-way experience. Run-game hand placement consistency and body control when engaged can improve. Overpowers defenders with regularity, but punch power can more consistently manifest. Through junior season, appears to have established himself as one of the top offensive tackle prospects in the 2024 class. Projects as a potential multi-year high-major starter with an eventual ceiling that could lead to NFL Draft early-round candidacy. – 247Sports National Scouting Analyst Gabe Brooks

College football recruiting: Updated list of 5-star prospects in the 2024 class (25)

247Sports rank: 5-star | 98 rating | No. 24 Overall | No. 1 TE
Recruitment status: Committed to Georgia
Measurables: 6-4 | 235
Scouting report: A potential X-factor at the tight end position given his frame, strong hands, fluid movement patterns and run-after-catch capabilities. Quickly made a name for himself as a freshman at the South Georgia power that is Colquitt County and kept on progressing, catching 31 passes for 533 yards and seven touchdowns as a sophom*ore before totaling 753 yards and eight scores on 44 receptions as a junior. Rather crafty as a route runner as he can shake defenders by mixing gears and sinking his hips. Has plenty of experience working out of the slot, but has also put his hand in the dirt and played more and more of a traditional in-line role over the years. Still figuring out how to juggle blocking and pass catching duties, but isn’t afraid to get his nose dirty and try to move a defensive end out of the way. Size hasn’t been verified in a while, but will likely need to add some mass in both the upper and lower halves once he arrives at the college of his choice if he wants to reach his full potential. Should be viewed as one of the top pass-catching tight end prospects in the 2024 cycle based on his resume. Likely to thrive in an offensive system that wants to move players around pre-snap and create mismatches. NFL upside. – 247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins

Scouting report: Longer frame with good weight on him already and still room to grow. Shows very good acceleration which serve him well on YAC as well as in the return game. Gets off the line quickly and has suddenness and twitch in his route running. Shows ability to high-point the ball and catch it away from his body. Looks like a high-end prospect who can be elite. Does not show glaring weaknesses but has to continue to polish technical skills and get stronger while working on his blocking. Will have to adjust to college competition because he does not face other players of his ability level in the high school level. Should be an impact college player and potential early draft choice. – 247Sports National Recruiting Analyst Allen Trieu

Scouting report: A quick-twitched big man that can get after the quarterback. Cut his teeth up in Baltimore totaling 10 sacks as a sophom*ore before transferring into the national powerhouse that is IMG Academy in advance of his junior season. Did most of his damage as an 11th grader out on the edge (stood up on some occasions), but projects as more of an interior player long term given dimensions (measured just under 6-foot-4, 250 pounds Summer of 2022). Causes plenty of issues for opposing lineman with not only his initial burst, but also his aggressive hands as he likes to swipe and rip his way around obstacles. Shifts his weight well for someone of his stature as he redirects and tries to find the football. Must keep evolving as a player and learn how to anchor against technically-sound blockers, but plays with a competitive spirit and isn’t one that gives up on a rush, which is always encouraging. Should be viewed as a ball of clay that could be molded into a variety of different things depending on scheme and team needs. Likely will need some time to get adjusted to the physicality and demands of Power Five football, but has a higher ceiling given how he moves for someone his size. Should take a massive step forward at some point down the line. NFL upside. – 247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins

Scouting report: A gamer that has no issues operating on the move. Loves to improvise and take some risks, but at the same time can set up shop in the pocket and stay on script. Burst onto the scene as a freshman starting multiple varsity games in South Carolina’s second-highest classification before being named MVP of the FBU Freshman All-American Bowl. Struggled a bit with consistency as a sophom*ore, but elevated his play as a junior and led a storied Charlotte Providence Day program to a NCISAA Division I state title. Cleaner mechanics allow him to throw a tight spiral. Can rip it every now and then, but doesn’t exactly have a cannon. Still, has shown the ability to attack the deeper third of the field and has proven to be pretty accurate as he owns a 63.5 percent career completion percentage heading into his senior season. Doesn’t exactly fit the bill as a true dual-threat talent, but is loose and explosive in the lower half and has plenty of experience coordinating RPOs out of a single-back spread attack on Friday nights. Should be viewed as one of the top signal callers in the 2024 cycle given his body of work. Size could eventually deter some scouts or front offices (measured just under 6-foot-1, 195 pounds in Spring of 2022), but has the makeup of someone that can win games on Saturdays, especially with his business-like mindset. Likely to find most success in an offensive scheme that has plenty of play action looks and roll outs on the call sheet. – 247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins

Scouting report: A longer cornerback prospect that has looked the part on Friday nights and on the offseason camp/tournament circuit when matched up with future Power Five wide receivers. Hasn’t been measured in a few years, but was over 6-foot-1 spring after freshman season and could very well now be pushing 6-foot-2. Spent most of junior season working in off-man coverage for a defense that played a lot of Cover 2. However, was asked to press in certain situations and was able to redirect. Overall, a pretty fluid mover that doesn’t exactly labor when asked to change directions and gain depth. Uses his length to his advantage once the ball is airborne as he can swallow up pass catchers of all different sizes out on the boundary. Must get better at shedding blocks and inserting himself in run support if he wants to be more of a complete defender. Top-end speed could raise some concerns given limited testing profile, but has generated plenty of chunk plays while doubling as a wide receiver and a wildcat QB against solid Sunshine State competition. Has the size (and reach) that everyone covets on the outside these days. Will need to keep developing game and eventually add some functional strength to a wiry frame, but should be viewed as a future starter and an impact player on Saturdays. NFL upside. – 247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins
