Was there ever a death of a Chaos God?
(Asking because I haven't found info on a dead one.)
Nope, the chaos gods are connected to sentient life and feed off of it. Killing one would probably mean you'd have to cut off their source of power in real space or disrupt the warp by some other means.
How hard would it be to kill the Chaos God?

It'd be a massive endeavor that would require destroying all sentient life, purging all behavior that incites chaos, or destroying the warp some how.

It's my understanding that they don't just exist on emotion but also need worship. I have read that the emperor has the power to rival all of the chaos gods strictly because he is worshipped as a god by trillions of people in the imperium. I think that the chaos gods also gain power in the same way it's. it just emotion. The emperor was slowly destroying the chaos gods realm in the great crusade of destroying the belief in the chaos gods and looking to science. I believe in the book fulgrim they mention this.
Can't they feed on another way apart of worshipping.
