Chaos is a Superior Element (or Fusion Element) in Elemental Battlegrounds, released on July 20, 2018. Its color palette consists of black, red, yellow, and magenta. Its medal depicts a swirl with spikes protruding in an outward direction.
Chaos is an Element made to destroy its opponents faster than the opponents can destroy the user. It has multiple Spells that don't immediately fire, as well as Spells that are useful for zoning and baiting.
This Element can be obtained by fusing Plasma (450 Diamonds) and Spirit (450 Diamonds), costing an additional 600 Diamonds to fuse.
Summary[]
Chaos is an Element that can be used to kill players reliably. Its Spells are somewhat slow, predictable, Mana costly, have mid-short range and may have long cool-downs, but they also have some combo potential, can deal high damage, and bait the opponent into using their defensive and/or mobility Spells, and putting pressure on them. Chaos Zone and Space-Time Rupture can be used to force enemies to dodge by sprinting, flipping, or using Spells that can move them, whittling down their Stamina and/or Mana, and making them vulnerable for follow ups. Space-Time Rupture can also be used in combos to deal extremely high damage. Disorder Ignition can drain the enemy's Mana and Stamina and slightly heal the user, along with giving the user the ability to swap places with their enemy, leading them into a combo or dodging their attacks. Order Break can be used defensively or at the end of a combo by knocking enemies away from the user.
Note: Damage was tested with 50 Power on a player with 50 Defense.

Strategy[]
- When an opponent is stunned, use Chaos Zone to deal big damage. To keep them guessing, try improving your aim to make it harder for them to anticipate your attack.
- If the opponent isn't stunned, they might dodge or dash away at the right moment, making your attack useless.
- Use Space-Time Rupture on slow or stunned enemies, as it's a slow spell. For best results, combine it with Temporal Trap while they're stunned.
- Be careful casting this spell indoors during a fight, as it might not work in low-ceiling areas.
- Disorder Ignition isn't a strong attack spell, but it drains the enemy's mana and stamina. When used with glitches, it can help you defeat the enemy quickly and easily, as long as the glitch works.
- This spell heals you and confuses enemies.
- Order Break deals decent damage and knocks enemies back. Since it's easy to dodge, use stun or traps to keep them from moving before you use it.
- Swords Dance has a pattern, but it deals a lot of damage and pulls enemies in. Use it wisely to get kills or make enemies run away and heal.
- When you're in mid-air, you're a sitting duck until the Ultimate ends. You're stuck and can't move, making you an easy target.
Trivia[]
- Chaos won on the 6th element poll, however, it had almost won in the 4th poll, where it was beaten by Nightmare.
- The medal bears resemblance to the symbol for Chaos Undivided from Warhammer 40,000. Both motifs have a circular design with outward-facing spikes around them.
- In the Testing Standard, Chaos was a purchasable element for 1100 diamonds.
- Chaos used to have a Transportation Spell during testing which was a harmless version of Explosive Leap, which was replaced with Disorder Ignition. This makes Chaos the first known element to have one of its Spells replaced while being tested.
- Using Disorder ignition while Mid-teleporting using light emission will result in the victim being glitched out of bounds with nowhere to go, forcing a reset
- The last explosion of Space-Time Rupture permanently stuns the mobs in Survival. They will stay that way until they're stunned again.
- Chaos and Spectrum are the only elements that have a unique background in their medals.
- Unlike Spectrum or Space, which are both a Fusion of a Fusion Element and a purchasable Element, Chaos is the first Element to be a Fusion of two Fusion Elements, requiring a total of four different Elements to obtain, Solar is the second.
- Chaos was named by a user called "A1d3n0us" in the Elemental Battlegrounds Discord server, being previously named “Chaos Beam” before it was renamed.
- Before Swords Dance was finished in Testing Standard, the swords wouldn't move into the enemy at the end of the Ultimate.
- On the Testing Standard, Space-Time Rupture had a single large beam instead of three smaller beams.
- Disorder Ignition is the first Contact Spell that has the ability to change the enemy's position, it's also the second Spell in the game with this ability, the first being Void's Oblivion.
- Chaos's victory in the 6th poll sparked outrage in the community, as Chaos was considered an "edgy Element" and that Illusion (or another element) should have won.
- That being said, it is believed by many people that the polls were manipulated or voted by minors.
- After Chaos was released, the community urged the owners and developers of the game to develop an Illusion Element, which worked.
- Chaos is one of the four Elements to have an Ultimate that automatically aims at enemies. The other being Spirit's Ghastly Grasp, Aurora's Polaris, and Sound's Ultra-Sonic Wail.
- Chaos is the only Superior Element and Fusion Element that does not require a Rare Element in its Fusion, and the only one that requires two Fusion Elements (Plasma and Spirit).
- When Chaos was being tested in Testing Standard, Chaos Zone's bullets had a hovering animation when they stopped midair before being launched.
- It is possible to use Disorder Ignition to teleport players out of the map and kill them.
- Chaos Ignition's casting animation resembles a part of the casting animation of Aurora's Empyrean Rain.
- Swords Dance shares a similar visual and name to the Pokémon "Swords Dance" move.
