The controls of Planet Zoo have been built from the ground up to be accessible and intuitive – including on gamepads.
The best way to learn how to move around your zoo and navigate the various in-game menus is to complete the tutorial as part of Career Mode. This tutorial has been designed to equip you with all the tools you need to get started with Planet Zoo and will introduce you to Bernie Goodwin as you help complete renovations of the beloved zoo, Goodwin House.
Many of Planet Zoo's controls can be customised on PC to your personal preference through the Controls tab in the Settings menu.
Basic movement of the cursor and camera is controlled through your mouse, with the camera panning as you move to the edge of the screen. Most menus and objects can be interacted with by simply left clicking on them to open further interaction options.

Camera Modes
There are a few different ways that you can view and move around your zoo.
The game camera is available in the following modes:
Standard mode - rotates the camera around a fixed point in front of it.
Freelook mode - rotates the camera around itself.
Explore mode - slow camera movement at a fixed height above the terrain.
Scenic mode - places the camera at a chosen location, around which it will move for great vistas of the zoo. Different movement paths, zoom and speed levels can be selected. Additionally, camera effects can be enabled.
Cinematic mode - opens an editor in which custom camera paths can be created for highly detailed showcased of a zoo.
Planet Zoo also features some specialised camera modes, allowing you to snap the camera to your animals, view security camera feeds and even look through a guest’s own eyes in first person mode!
Source. Naming any guest on your Zoo "SelenaM" will give a balloon to every guest in the zoo. Conversely, naming any guest in your Zoo "JayC" will cause all guests to release their balloons.
The game will tell you that you need all of the Staff facilities, but you will quickly run out of money that way. You will want a Trade Center, Staff Building, Quarantine, and Keeper Hut at first.
Gameplay. Unlike modes such as Career Mode or Franchise Mode, Sandbox Mode allows players to start their zoos with unlimited money and resources, all animals at their disposal, and all research completed.
Players will start their Franchise Zoo with $40,000, and they'll need to be smart about how they spend and invest this money to help them get rich over the course of the campaign. They can add food and drink options, gift shops, and other vendors to help boost their revenue.
You will now be able to choose between Easy, Medium (the current game difficulty) and Hard. These settings will affect: Whether animals get bored of enrichment items (Hard Difficulty only). How quickly animals get stressed.
By far the best animal to earn conservation credits, Lions are one of the most popular and profitable species in Planet Zoo. They are classified as Critically Endangered, with as little as 250 out in the wild. That rarity means players will be able to earn tons of CC by releasing them.
The lions are great for making cc, a gold lion can get at least 1,000 cc easily by releasing into the wild, so you don't have to try and sell them on the franchise market when there is a low demand for them. Flamingos.
Unless you're doing some crazy enclosures, you only need 1 keeper per Habitat. But make sure they are assigned, and have their own keeper hut and staff room. 1 keep/house for everyon enclosure is overkill. You can safetly do 4-5 enclosures, for 1 keeper.
Creating a good habitat requires: Enough space for your animals. Appropriate terrain, plants and decorations for your animals. Appropriate, well-maintained barriers to prevent animal escapes.
Easily one of the best ways to consistently churn out cash in Planet Zoo is to acquire exhibit animals that breed fast, and then have the surplus sold for surprising prices.
Downloading mods in Planet Zoo can enhance the gameplay experience. Some mods provide new tools and features, while others improve existing elements of the game. The Sandbox Color Morph mod increases the chance of animals being born with albinism, making them more appealing to customers.
Press Shift+$ at any time while playing to instantly get $10,000. It's best to use this code at the beginning of a game because using it later in the game can cause fences to break and animals to escape.
